Health Guarantee
All our Adult Dogs have been genetic tested through Paw Print. All are clear for the 3 common Basset Hound issues, Primary Open Angle Glaucoma (Basset Hound Type), Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disease, X-Linked (Basset Hound Type),and Thrombopathia (Basset Hound Type).
Every puppy that leaves has been checked by our vet and comes with a clean bill of health. They will also have 30 days of free insurance through AKC that we provide at no additional cost to the buyers. If that insurance is not activated before your vet visit our health guarantee is voided.
We guarantee puppies to be free from life-threatening congenital disorders up until puppy reaches 1 year of age. Any medical condition must be proven and documented by two licensed veterinarians at buyers expense. Buyer agrees to take their puppy to a licensed veterinarian for examination within 3 business days of the transfer date. The guarantee is null and void if the Buyers does not follow agreement for the vet exam.
If your puppy is found to have any life threatening or genetic defects, you must notify us immediately and provide us with written veterinarian's statement that includes the complete diagnosis of the puppy's condition within 48 hours of diagnosis. We reserve the right to have the diagnosis verified by our personal veterinarian or veterinarian of our choice and/or require you to have specific test run on the puppy to verify the diagnosis. We do not offer refunds, or partial refunds, but will replace the puppy with another of equal value as soon as one becomes available and only after the puppy and all papers have been returned to us.
Every effort has been made by the breeder to assure that the puppy is healthy when it is delivered to the buyer. Angus Acres Bassets will not accept any responsibility for reactions to vaccines/medications, flea and tick preparations, or disorders caused by environmental factors, allergies, thyroid, autoimmune diseases, or parasitic issues that arise. Breeder is NOT responsible for any of the following once the puppy has left our care; parasites, worms, Giardia, Coccidia, cryptosporidium, diarrhea or other minor conditions such as bladder/urinary tract infections, ear infections and/or other changes which may occur when moving a puppy to a new home. This includes but is not limited to: mental stress, low blood sugar, or loose stool which can be caused by stress within a few hours of transport. We highly recommend not taking the puppies to any public areas and grounds including but not limited to, dog parks, pet stores, on the floor at the vets or any other place other dogs have been until all puppy shots have been complete. This is for your puppy's safety against germs.

Pick up
Puppies are allowed to go to new homes at 8 weeks of age after they have been vet checked, given shots and fully weaned from mom. When you pick up a puppy we will set up a time so that no other clients are here picking up so that you have time to ask questions. We are also willing to meet at half way points for a small fee to help with gas. If you would like to fly in to pick a puppy up we would be willing to meet at a local airport.
